In an existing plot, with old traditional Cycladic buildings, we were asked to create an additional apartment with minimal invasion in the landscape plus a building that will match the existent ones, as the atelier of the owners and a new space for a pool area, bar and bbq. We designed an additional apartment in the form of an Yposkafo "underground construction" , hiding it under the existent garden with only the pool area and its surrounding being visible. The atelier was placed behind the existent buildings, in a higher ground, taking advantage of the full view of the plot, for extra inspiration.
